AI Tour for Partners in Zurich
The AI Tour for Partners in Zurich provided a compelling demonstration of how Microsoft, together with its partners, is shaping the next phase of the AI transformation. From intelligent platforms and agents to new co-working features.
AI in Work IQ, Fabric IQ and Foundry IQ
Microsoft is increasingly positioning AI within clearly defined value-creation domains:
- Work IQ focuses on productive working. From knowledge work and decision-making to automation in everyday life.
- Fabric IQ brings AI directly into data platforms and analytics. Data is not merely analysed, but actively interpreted and put into practice.
- Foundry IQ lays the foundations for developing, training and operating intelligent solutions – securely, scalably and in an integrated manner.
For us partners, this means: clearer use cases, stronger arguments when dealing with clients, and a closer link between business and technology.

Microsoft as a platform for over 11,000 model
The key message of the AI Tour: Microsoft is evolving into an open AI platform and no longer aims to develop the best AI model.
- Over 11,000 models will be available in future
- Proprietary, open-source and industry-specific models
- Consistent governance, security and compliance
This enables partners to build bespoke AI solutions without having to commit to a single model. The platform handles the complexity. We, as partners, deliver added value and can thus provide our customers with the best possible support.
AI Governance in Microsoft
Microsoft also addresses a key prerequisite for the next phase of AI: governance, security and transparency for AI agents within the organisation.
There are various approaches to managing all AI agents within a Microsoft tenant. The aim is to provide IT teams with a unified view of all the agents present within the organisation. Here, Dinotronic can build further on its core competencies and offer its customers not only ‘IT. But safe.’ but also ‘AI. But safe.’
The focus is on three key areas:
- Observability: Central agent register, including so-called shadow agents
- Governance: Lifecycle management, policies and reviews across all agents
- Security & Compliance: Seamless integration with Microsoft Entra, Defender and Purview
In this way, AI agents become controllable digital entities, comparable to user accounts or applications. For Dinotronic, this lays the foundation for scaling agent-based solutions responsibly, particularly in regulated environments.
Copilot Co-Work will be available in 202
Another highlight: Copilot Co-Work, scheduled for 2026.
Unlike traditional Copilot‑chats:
- Cowork plans work steps independently
- interacts directly with Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and calendars
- displays every action transparently
- only carries out actions once the user has given their approval
Copilot Cowork is currently available as a Frontier Preview and is still under development. It is expected that Cowork will be available to everyone by the end of 2026.
For us as partners, Cowork is showing the way forward: AI is evolving from an advisory assistant into an executive agent that actually takes on productive work.
Microsoft is continuing to expand its partner training programm
This clearly shifts the roles of the partners:
- moving away from being purely an implementer,
- towards becoming a strategic AI companion.
AI must be innovative, secure, explainable and economically viable – and ideally all at the same time.

Conclusion
The AI Tour for Partners in Zurich clearly demonstrated that Microsoft no longer views AI as an isolated technology, but as an integral part of platforms, processes and collaboration. The focus is less on individual features and more on a holistic ecosystem that combines innovation, security and scalability.
With open model platforms, agent-based architectures, clear governance via Agent 365 and new implementation models such as Copilot Co-Work, it is clear where this is heading: AI is becoming operational, controllable and productive.
For partners, this represents a clear opportunity, but also a responsibility. Those who succeed will be those who bring together technology, business value, governance and adoption. This is precisely where the strength of partners such as Dinotronic lies: not only supporting customers with technology, but also offering them security, guidance and sustainable value in the age of AI.
Consequently, events such as the Microsoft AI Tour are particularly important to us as partners. This allows us to make the most of our direct line of communication with Microsoft and ensure we always keep our customers up to date with the latest developments.

For us Microsoft partners, system integrators and consultancies who want not only to run pilot projects involving AI, but also to roll it out to customers in a productive and secure manner.
Copilot Co-Work is currently available as a Frontier Preview. Wider availability is expected towards the end of 2026, with an expanded range of features.
No. Copilot Co-Work only carries out tasks once the user has explicitly authorised them. Transparency and control are guaranteed at all times.
As partners, we are evolving from implementers to strategic AI advisors:
We combine technology with business use cases, governance, security and adoption.
Because AI must be innovative, secure, explainable and cost-effective all at the same time. Only well-trained partners can bring these requirements together and ensure their clients’ long-term success.
Our AI expert in the Microsoft ecosystem
Nico Schwerzmann specialises in modern Microsoft technologies at Dinotronic, with a focus on artificial intelligence, and supports companies in implementing and successfully utilising AI solutions in their day-to-day work. His aim is not only to understand new technologies from a technical perspective, but also to highlight their specific added value in a targeted manner. At the heart of his work is the question of how AI can be meaningfully integrated into existing processes: from Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI agents to data-driven applications on platforms such as Microsoft Fabric. Through his close collaboration with SMEs, he brings a deep understanding of real-world requirements and challenges.
